The Life（生命）

" Celebrating youth, Passionate Asia", that is how 2013 NANJING Asian Youth Games is advertized. It began at August 16th and ends at August 24th.

Assigned to be one of the comepetition equipment assistants, I had a responsibility to assist the referee to arrange the field before the games started and made sure everything was going successfully provided that rain occured or problems bursted out at any time.
Basically, the former training, the lectures didn't benefit me in this given jobs in fact. Nonetheless, the practice played a key role. 
Everyday's work of ours was to reset the athletic seats in place and rearrange the field, including the shot put field, long jump field, et cetera. To be 100% frank, the work wasn't interesting, but challenging. With the shining sun above the forehead, the breezes in the stadium seemed to be the only thing to encourage us to finish the rest tasks.
In fact, what really pleasantly surprised me during the voluntary process was the party held at August 20th. I was informed of a meeting the day before. Amazingly, the meeting turned out to be a party, a birthday party! My school and another uni held a birthday for those volunteers whose birthdays were within the games. Better still, we were not only enjoy a yummy birthday cake, but also received a special subtle present! Bravo!
At present, the voluntary work have come to an satisfactory ending. Without any overstatements, the memoris are never swept away and the visions still linger.  I still recalled that I lied on the field last night, inhaling the midnight air of the olympic stadium, staring at sky and listening to the cheers and yells around. I had been dreaming that day arrived, yet unwillingness to leave rose when it really did.
Though our resting place was a unnoticable cabin and the condition wasn't as good as we expected, on the way back to my uni at 0 o'clock on a shuttle bus I considered I really liked being a volunteer and I was really pround of it. And I was definitly delighted with the smiles sported on the face of those who received my voluntary service.
Without doubts, I hold a firm faith that I am also going to a volunteer of the 2014 NANJING OLYMPIC GAMES!
